Want Results? Change Your Life

Want Results? Change Your Life

Sure, it sounds so simple that it borders on being offensive. But it’s true.

Many people would like to have more in life. Examples include relationships, material things, or straight up money.

But, these same people go through the same routines day in and day out.

They don’t realize that if they do ONE THING, they could get closer to the life they want.

Take the following story…

A Typical Video Game With A Big Lesson

One day, my son begged me to sit down and watch him play a video game. As much as I tried to come up with a reason why I couldn’t, my son would not give up.

He showed me a few rounds of the game.

He fought waves of enemies, completed side missions, and then extracted back to base.

After that, my little guy showed me different armor and weapon sets that were available. He had to earn medals to unlock these items.

Then came the ah-ha moment for me…

My son explains that the game’s missions are always changing and new items added.

It occurred to me that the game’s developers do this to keep the game fresh and interesting. This give players something to look forward to.

It allows them to get BIGGER and BETTER items while taking on MORE CHALLENGING missions.

That’s right!

By taking on new challenges, you unlock bigger and better rewards.

Why Not Play Life Like A Video Game?

Shouldn’t life go the same way?!

Many people speak about the daily grind. Paying bills, paying taxes, then dying.

Most would even say that this is the best they can get given their past education or even their upbringing.

But why not play life like a video game? It may sound crazy, but take an example like the one above and make a real life connection.

You can add new “content” and “missions” into your life like game developers do for characters.

New “Content” And “Missions”

One way that you can make a change in your life is to add new “content” to it.

Examples include the following:

  • Learn a new skill, language, etc.
  • Attend a networking event to make new connections
  • Develop new habits that will serve you while getting rid of bad ones
  • Visiting a new town
  • Eating at a new restaurant

While you’re at it, don’t forget to add new “missions” as well!

Those could be:

  • Plan new trips to take you out of your comfort zone
  • Take on more work in your current position towards possible advancement
  • Seek new employment

Become the developer of your own game. Add new content and missions that will get you closer to the goals, rather than living like you don’t have a choice.

In Conclusion

Be sure to remind yourself that for anything to change in life, you have to make the next move.

You have to add new content and embark on bigger and more challenging missions to level up.

Don’t forget that Power Moves, Keep Moving!
